About Alexa Smila

My journey in movement began at the age of three with rhythmic gymnastics, where I developed flexibility, coordination, balance, and a love for movement.
Today, I am a student at the Miami City Ballet School, where I continue to train and grow as a dancer while working toward my goal of joining the professional company. I have had the privilege of performing alongside professional dancers in productions of The Nutcracker and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Along with my dance training, I have a musical education that has helped me develop a strong sense of rhythm, expression, and connection to movement. These experiences have shaped the way I approach training — not just as a dancer, but as someone who believes movement should feel empowering, enjoyable, and accessible.
I especially love helping beginners discover what their bodies are capable of achieving. Through this course, I share the foundations that have supported my own journey — mobility, flexibility, strength, balance, and grace — to help you move with greater confidence, freedom, and joy every day.
